#MARINABDOJAPAN CHAPTER 5 : SAYONARA JAPAN

7:50 AM

Finally the last chapter of MARINA Beauty Days Out Japan 2014 is out. Last 15th October was our last day in Japan, missing Japan already T.T
What a great and precious experience ever, GOOD TRIP WITH GOOD ACTION <3
IMPERIAL PALACE, MARUNOUCHI, TOKYO

Generally, this place is recommended for those who love to learn about the history of Nippon castle.
WASEDA UNIVERSITY, SHINJUKU, TOKYO

Kita mempelajari informasi seputar pendidikan di Jepang melalui Waseda University, we were accompanied by this brilliant student also my new friend, Rihoo Fuji from Departement of Culture, Media and Society :)
So proud :)

For more information about Waseda University, you can visit their official website http://www.waseda.jp/top/en
The Okuma Auditorium clock tower

Waseda University shall strive to emphasize freedom of research and investigation and to encourage original and creative studies, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge, to promote the practical utilization of knowledge.

AOMI STATION, KOTO, TOKYO

The Aomi station offers the most direct public transit access to the Venus Fort and Palette Town shopping complex around Odaiba, it also is adjacent to an embarkation pier for the Tokyo water bus lines. Wow, amazing right?
THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF EMERGING SCIENCE AND INNOVATION (MIRAIKAN), KOTO-KU, ODAIBA, TOKYO

Sahabat Marina had a precious experience to understand the things happening in our world today from a scientific point of view :) Miraikan diartikan sebagai "Balai Masa Depan".

For more information about Miraikan, you can visit this website http://www.miraikan.jst.go.jp/en/
*MIRAIKAN TSUNAGARI PROJECT*

The Geo-Cosmos
*THE EXPANSE OF SPACE*

This exhibit will introduce you to the most updated aspects of space, this zone is the answers that our current scientific knowledge can provide, to questions that everyone has thought of at some point in time.
*THE GENOME*

In this zone, you gain basic knowledge about the genome and learn the cutting-edge technology of genomic analysis. We experienced genome research that cannot be seen through videos, graphic panels, or games. Great place to study about ourselves.
*PROMOTING MEDICINE TOGETHER*

This area is well suited to allow us to think about the future as we examine the current situation of the medical field which brings ever greater changes to our lives and society.

Therapies Using Patient-Friendly Technologies
This one is a surgical operation support system which uses information technology such as image processing and virtual reality and medical robot technology. How cool.
New Eyes to Look Into The Body
With the advancement of medical imaging devices, the technology to look deep inside the body in detail has dramatically improved. In addition to the improvement of resolution, which can be observed on a cellular level, it has become possible to identify the observation results by various methods and issue an almost immediate diagnosis. In addition to doctors, this might become a tool for patients to better understand their disease and consider treatment options.
Future Item

Miraikan introduces through images and video future medical scenes that are still unrealized which might be possible one day through the fusion of knowledge and technology. One side is for information pertaining to the technological side while the other concerns information on the basic research side. You can feel the direction of medicine of the future.
*ANDROID: WHAT IS HUMAN*

The exhibition will be a unique and rare event which will provide visitors with the opportunity to communicate with and operate android robots, while shedding light on the attributes of humans in contrast with those of robots.

Otonaroid
Otonaroid is a teleoperated android robot resembling an adult female. She has been hired by the Miraikan as a robot science communicator. At the exhibition, you can talk with her and also operate her.
Otonaroid is an experimental exhibition, in which you can experience a face-to-face conversation with an android robot and operate it. Through this experience, you will gradually acclimate to communication with an android robot and become capable of comprehending it more instinctively.
Kodomoroid, Tearoom of Zero/One
Kodomoroid is a teleoperated android robot resembling a human child. It is an android announcer with potential exceeding that of its human equivalent. It can recite news reports gathered from around the world 24 hours a day, every day, in a variety of voices and languages. In the studio set up in Tearoom of Zero/One on the third floor, you can watch her deliver news about global issues and space weather reports. Kodomoroid, with its close resemblance to a human child and detached voice, continuously recites world news. It is a work of art of sorts which asks profound questions about humanity's future. So brilliant.
*LE-7A ENGINE*

This exhibition presents the LE-7A engine, which is mounted with Japan's main rocket, the H-IIA. The LE-7A engine combusts a mixture of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, and generates a powerful force of 3.18 million horsepower. It is able to transport a satellite weighing 4 tons to a geostationary orbit at an altitude of 36,000km.
*THE DRIVE FORCE  OF INNOVATION*

A person's "wishes" cannot come true by just imagining them. What is necessary to actualize them is "Creativity." Miraikan will introduce how innovative technology is supported by the "Creativity" of technologists.
*LIFESTYLE 2050*

This exhibition explores possibilities for a future that is sustainable for both humans and the Earth. Get a ticket for a walk through this future city.
This is Itookashi City, an imaginary city in 2050. You will go to City Hall to register to live in Itookashi City. Put your hand in front of the screen alongside the model, and you will be led through the future city. Through built-in cameras in the model city, the citizens will tell you how 35 cutting-edge technologies, such as the Plant Factory and the Superconducting Cable, benefit their lifestyles.
In order to become an Itookashi Citizen, you need to offer your idea to make this city better. Think about what you've heard from the citizens, and use the "Waza card" describing cutting-edge technologies, to propose your suggestion to enrich life. You will see how the choices you make affect the city by the changes in the 4 parameters of Environment, Material, Individual, and Society. Exhibition visitors who became citizens of the city will be offered special benefits such as a copy of their Resident Card, a list of "Waza cards", and a Growth Graph of the city. Oh yeah, I already became one of Itookashi citizen.
*ROBOT WORLD*

In this exhibit, you witness actual demonstration examples of Japan's leading humanoid robots. By watching the demonstrations and operating the robots, you can get the significance of their existence in our lives.

Humanoid Robot ASIMO
The Humanoid Robot ASIMO was developed based on the assumption of it being active in the human environment. Easy operability is actualized through its size, weight and free mobility. ASIMO currently works as a Science Communicator of Miraikan.
Inter-Robot
This is a robot which duplicates the human reaction of nodding and showing sympathy by responding to a human voice.
*STORIES OF ONE, EVERYONE AND YOU*

This exhibition takes a look at the nature of 'the human as a living organism' as seen through neuroscience, primatology, and cognitive science.
Towards The Future-Creating The Future Is Human Nature
Understanding this human instinct to maintain relations which one has unconsciously built with another, visitors are urged to take a new look at the connections they themselves have with others. Through the message from general supervisor who keeps striving to unlock the mystery of humans, visitors begin to see that the connections they establish with others will change the world and create the future.
*THIS IS ISS, GO AHEAD-SPACE HABITATION MODULE*

400 km above us is the amazing International Space Station (ISS) built with the cooperation of 15 countries. Miraikan will think about the meaning of humans expanding our humanosphere to the universe by contemplating the exhibit's concept. Fundamentally, ISS challenges an unforgiving environment where people cannot live unassisted: what makes life there a reality is the latest technology. Through research activities and life at ISS, Miraikan will think about what is essential in order to live in a community built outside the boundaries of Earth.

Shared Wonders
Wunderkammer is the German word for room of wonder. Wunderkammer exhibits collections of rare and interesting objects from around the world, and were precursors to museums. Shared Wonders uses videos to introduce fascinating works made by children. Works made by children are displayed on the monitor as digital data, so they can be shared while playing.
JOYSOUND FLAGSHIP SHOP, SHINAGAWA, TOKYO

AMATAIRU RESTAURANT, SHINAGAWA, TOKYO

Wee had BBQ party at this restaurant that night. The meats are fresh and delicous, we totally enjoyed our dinner.
