BATIK TENUN VI, MODERN WAYS TO WEAR BATIK

Actually this post is the the second work I did last year (in November 2015) for a local fashion brand, Batik Tenun VI as freelance stylist. Before this I did styling for THE FIDELE newest collection. I got this opportunity because the owner of Batik Tenun Vi, tante Ida and the owner of Kika Models Indonesia, ka Kiki Eka asked me to be a part of this collaboration. I said yes because why not? It was a job and I just wanted to expand my experience. Never in my life I thought I would be asked to be a stylist for a brand. Since this brand is pretty known in fashion industry so, once again, WHY NOT? :)

Anyway I want to share a little information about Batik Tenun VI, it's a retailer of hand-made Balikpapan batik and Kalimantan tenun by Ida Roy Nirwan. Being sick of seeing most of batik designs that are available in the market are mostly lacked of modern and edgy creativity (not following the current fashion, tante Ida decided to create her own modern and exclusive batik designs, hence Batik Tenun Vi was born, being in both traditional and modern Balikpapan batik and Kalimantan/Borneo tenun, she made beautiful dresses, skirts, tops, bags and shoes, scarves, etc for women and men. As I walked into Batik Tenun Vi boutique, I was quite stunned to choose which items the models should wear. Trust me the boutique has two stories, quite big enough, it's been a confusing situation because there were so many designs. I was totally spoiled with choices and here are some looks I created for Batik Tenun Vi's collection 2015. Let's check them out :)
