#MYCLASSIC BLOGGING JOURNEY WITH DANIEL WELLINGTON

9:31 PM

Each experience is even more beautiful when it’s shared. I decided to share #MyClassic story about the little journey of Something Real Serious blog with Daniel Wellington

Being a blogger for almost 8 years has made me to where I am, well a women who is gaining nothing but confidence, I used to blogging just for a fun (I agree to do things that make me happy) but in the meantime it actually works pretty well and I start getting paid from this platform. I would say I was lucky by the time I graduated from college, my blog was in a place where I could earn some kind of money and some experiences/opportunities to see the world from it. I would say it took from 2011 (when I started blogging for fun) until 2014 before I could say I was ready to start a blogging career as my part-time job.
It takes dedication and hard work/efforts to keep-up with it. Great content and consistency is the main two keys. Imagine how hard a blogger needs to come up with good content at least 3-4 times a week each month (you also need to cover events, shooting products, writing honest reviews, etc for products/clients). I am not making my blog as my sole source of income (yup I didn’t dedicate 100% of my time to blogging) because I also have a real job as a visual person. But trust me, earning through blogging is more stressful than having a job since the income’s not stable, that’s the truth.
Blogging success doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes blogging success comes slowly. So when you’ve been blogging for one, two or three months and you’re still not where you want to be, don’t be sad! Just because this blogger did this & that, doesn’t mean it will also happen for you. Just don’t compare your journey to others. Remember, it does take hard work before you get anywhere.

Don’t expect people to love your blog quickly. People use the number of Facebook & Instagram likes, or Social Media followers to determine how popular a person is virtually. But I don’t care about the followers or likes (it’s like a desperation of a blogger’s hungry for attention and fame). I surely miss the good old days when blogging was a form of sharing experiences. Let’s just remember that blogging is supposed to be you sharing your adventures/thoughts, life and experiences, and sharing them with the readers. I have been blogging from the heart and I am so happy that I have readers who engaged with me.
What I’m about to tell you based on my personal experience throughout the years is just because it works for me doesn’t mean it’ll work for you. Everyone has a different journey. Never give up on challenges. When you stop being challenged, you stop learning and when you stop learning, you stop growing. And we all know that when you stop growing, you pretty much fade out of the blogging business. In my opinion, the best part about blogging is challenging yourself and being able to explore new things.
So, I think these tips you need to know before you actually start your blogging journey. I hope this was helpful for you especially if you want to start a blog. You need a lot of time, patience, and hard work.
